Creating content can be a daunting task, especially for entrepreneurs who are just starting out. It's important to create content that is both valuable and interesting to your audience or you'll lose their attention. And attention = currency.

In this blog post, I'll give ya 5 tips on how to create killer content that will help you stand out and keep you sane.

1. Don't be afraid to be creative and, well, CREATE

I know, I know - new ideas are usually met with a chorus of groans and eye rolls (let's be honest - the word "cringe" comes to mind!). But the truth is, being afraid to be creative is one of the biggest mistakes you can make when it comes to content production. The best ideas often come from the most unexpected places, so don't be afraid to think outside the box and test it. You never know where your next great idea will come from. Embrace your inner weirdo and let your creativity run wild. Who knows? You might just come up with the next big thing.

2. Find your unique voice and stick with it

In an increasingly competitive world, it's more important than ever to find your unique voice and stick with it. After all, if you're just regurgitating the same old ideas, you're not going to stand out. Of course, that's easier said than done. How do you find your unique voice? And once you've found it, how do you make sure you don't lose it? The first step is to be yourself. Speak to your audience in a way that you'd speak to your friend. Ask yourself what makes you different from everyone else. What are your interests, your passions, your quirks? Embrace those things and let them shine through in your writing. Be authentic and honest, and don't be afraid to show your personality. The second part of this is to be consistent. Once you've found your voice, stick with it. Don't try to be someone you're not just to please a certain audience or fit into a certain mold. People can smell a fake from a mile away. Be true to yourself/your brand, and your readers will appreciate it. So go forth and find your voice. It's out there waiting for you.

3. Keep your content interesting and engaging

In today's age of content overload, it's more important than ever to keep your audience engaged. Think of your content as more of a conversation with someone rather than "talking at" someone. Who likes a one-way conversation?! After all, there's no shortage of things fighting for their attention. "But Chavah, HOOOOOOOW do I make sure what I'm producing will be engaging?" Ask yourself these simple questions:

-Is it relevant and/or useful to my audience?

-Am I using strong words, questions or visuals to capture their attention?

-Is it either entertaining or thought-provoking?

If you look at your content and it's not something you'd want to reply to or share - take another look at it and figure out how to make it that way.

4. Don't be afraid to experiment

Do not overthink. I cannot stress this enough. Everything can be content. From a simple timelapse of you sitting at your desk, to a meeting to simple tips - all of those things can be valuable pieces of content so don't overthink - just do. An easy way to ensure you feel inspired to "just do" is creating or using a great space with a modern aesthetic. Having a place to be creative is an excellent way to ensure you have tons of content on hand. Sites like Peerspace and Airbnb are great resources to finding a space that works well for your brand if you don't have a space of your own.

My place (which you can rent by the hour, by the way *cough*cough* #shamelessplug) is very light and airy but has a very modern/luxe look that works with my brand. It makes it a breeze to create content that catches people's eye.

This apartment in La Cantera Terrace San Antonio, Texas is a perfect example of a place where you can take advantage of the space and the facilities it can offer. For starters, there are a lot of amenities that you can use such as the pool, the gym, the balcony with a great view and so much more.

If Pinterest and Instagram had a baby, and that baby was an apartment, this would be it. This modern luxury apartment unit is the perfect place to create content for your social media platforms. The wide open spaces make it the perfect blank canvas for you to stage any kind of photoshoot your heart desires. Whether you want to do a cooking show, a fashion shoot, or just take some artsy pictures for your feed, this place has everything you need. And if you get tired of being in the same place, there are 2 other rooms to use for your content.

It could be just what you need to take your business to the next level.

5. Never Stop Learning. Test. Test. Test.

If you're not learning, you're not growing. And if you're not growing, you're dying. That might sound a bit melodramatic, but it's true. In order to be successful in content creation, you need to constantly keep your mindset in a "learn + test + repeat" mode. The world, and algorithms, quite frankly, are constantly changing and evolving, and so is the landscape of content creation. What works today might not work tomorrow, so it's important to always be on the lookout for new trends and technologies. Learning also helps to keep your mind sharp and your ideas fresh. So if you want to stay ahead of the curve, make sure to never stop learning.

There you have it – some tips to help you create content that stands out from the noise. It’s important to find your unique voice and stick with it, but don’t be afraid to experiment either. Always be learning and keep your content interesting and engaging for your audience. What are some of your favorite techniques for creating standout content? Share them in the comments below!
